When I rescued this litter the mom was in labor She was born and dead i set her to the side and helped mom with 5 more When I picked her up to bury her, she made a sound. I panicked and started CPR, warming her up, everything I could think of. It had been 45 minutes! I held her over a candle in a sock until she started moving. I put her back with the mom. So when the litter started showing these things in their fur, coming out of their face, I took her to the vet. He looked at her for a minute and said he saw nothing. You’re joking, I said. The other one as bad as her died two days later in an excruciating all night screaming, painful death. Then I could clearly see these things. A vet on JustAnswer did too. It was too late. I scraped these things off of her face. I put Vaseline to smother everything else I saw. She is a beautiful thriving cat today BUT I see these lines creep up on her face again when it’s time for her topical treatment. Their eyes get dull, maybe from pain, but I see the warning signs. I use a monthly topical from Walmart in purple tubes. I researched ingredients first. Sometimes I do the one also with a dewormer. I wish I could afford THAT every month but after rescuing so many I can’t afford it. When needed i order it cheap from Australia. I’ll find the name and add it to resources.
