Yes, a person can be reinfected with parasites because of the immune system, and the relationship between the immune system and parasites is complex: way more than I want to get into or even understand. The best way to explain it is this - just like you get chicken pox once (allegedly) and never again, it's because your immune system made blocks to it. So if it enters the body again, it remembers it and knows how to fight it. Parasites make marks on the immune system to not kill it. So when it re-enters the body it's not seen as a threat. So Some parasitic infections can be treated with medication, but others can last a long time or keep coming back
Why do only certain people get them anyway? In my house, I'm the only one with them, Here's why - my genetics show a defect in the MTHFR gene. in fact, it's so bad from both parents that I only methylate at 23%. Methylation is where the body uses B vitamins to folate to detox the body of bad stuff. A defect like mine means stuff enters and my body doesn’t care. I just have bad crap all having a party in there. This is why I caught every single illness I was exposed to my entire life.
There’s no way to change your dna, but doctors think supplementing with the right B vitamins makes up for this. I, personally, think it just makes your labs look good. It doesn’t force your body to methylate toxins. Just like taking a thyroid pill doesn’t fix what the thyroid isn’t doing. It just looks good on labs. You still have every symptom of low thyroid production.
This is why I’m easily infected.
I constantly see that people walking barefoot in soil contaminated with poop does it. I see that being unsanitary, not washing your hands, and being poor is why we get it. If you look at the life cycles it shows a human actually defecatting eggs into the soil. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never walked around and pooped in my yard. So these theories are crap.
I see that we get them from eating undercooked pork, beef, and raw fish. Still a big NO here for me!
So whether you’re rich or poor, dirty or clean, they’re missing the mark on how we get them.
They deny it’s an issue in North America because then they’d have to adddress the issue. Doctors aren’t trained to deal with the issues so we’re all back in the same boat - helping each other.
This is even more reason for everyone to join this site so we can get unified and take action. I keep reading that someone needs tto do something. That someone is all of us.
